Announcing the Wu Tsai Field House
Dear Bishop’s Families, Alumni and Friends,
As the 2025-26 school year begins, we have exciting news to share with the entire Bishop’s community.
In 2023, the Board of Trustees began to explore a potential fundraising campaign to support the goals of the Bishop’s Strategic Plan. During that year, many of you shared your thoughts about current programs and Bishop’s future, via a community-wide survey or other means.
Your enthusiasm for Bishop’s propelled us forward. We continue to be in pursuit of a comprehensive campaign, which now has a working name, Lead with Purpose. We are in the early stages, but we envision major advancements for our students today and for the Bishop’s of tomorrow.
Today, we are thrilled to announce that the School has received a visionary commitment that gives momentum to our hopes and plans. Former Trustee Clara Wu and Joe Tsai PP ’17, ’20, ’25 have pledged an extraordinary gift to establish the Wu Tsai Field House and to inspire additional investments needed to make this building a reality.
The Wu Tsai Field House will be a best-in-class athletics facility that delivers space, functionality, equipment and technology that our Knights need to train for the highest levels of competition. Simultaneously, it will be a hub for fitness and well-being across campus for the entire student body.
On behalf of the Board and the entire Bishop’s community, we offer our deep gratitude to Clara and Joe. At this early juncture, they are pointing our way forward with confidence toward the aspirations of the Strategic Plan. The Bishop’s School is so fortunate to have their leadership.
We look forward to sharing more news from the Strategic Plan and the campaign as it continues to evolve. In the months and years ahead, this vital endeavor will need support from all of us. The Bishop’s School is fortunate to have so many champions at home and around the world.
